I’m slowly feeling better. I still have a bit of a sore throat and stuffy sinuses, but it’s a million times better than I was on Thursday, so that’s something. With today off, hopefully I can recover fully before heading back to work!
Some random facts for you:
- I made these cookies yesterday. They were so rich I could barely eat one. T wanted them for dinner. Mine didn’t look like the picture. They didn’t flatten out so mostly they were hugely puffy. I doubt I’ll make them again.
- I made ‘healthy’ banana bread too. It has more fiber and less oil in it than the other banana bread recipe from the same author. It was heavy, but it was delicious. We ate an entire loaf in 2 days.
- I went for a walk yesterday down a big hill, around a lake, and back up the big hill. My hip hurt while I was walking. Today? My butt hurts. Sad.
- I lost 0.2lbs this week which is practically nothing, but it pushed me to the 12 lbs down since Jan 25 mark. Which is pretty exciting. (since October, I’m down 18 pounds. Holy.) I’m beginning to like my stomach which is practically unheard of. Just a few more to go til that underboob fat is gone (you know what I’m talking about!)
- I had grand plans to do wedding stuff this weekend but I didn’t get anything done. Maybe today.
Did everyone have a happy Easter? I was disappointed there’s no kiddos around so I didn’t get to have an Easter egg hunt!

I’ve started making “healthy” banana bread about once a week for breakfasts. I like to think that this is a easy way of getting some fruit, but really, it’s just delicious.
My sister will be having my first neice this summer and I can’t wait to get back to holidays with kiddos in them. Those years when we were all grown up got a little tedious.
It’s true- holidays are way more fun when there are kids around! (Thanks for stopping by!)
Mmmm healthy banana bread. I’m hungry now – and it’s 9:15pm!
I seriously can’t make it very often because the entire loaf didn’t last the day. It was sad.
